LONDON – NBCUniversal’s Syfy has secured the U.K. premiere rights for supernatural drama The Originals, which is set to debut in the U.S. on The CW in October.
The show, a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, will come to Britain some time this fall via the network based on a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. It is Syfy U.K.’s biggest series acquisition since V a few years ago.
