The best lines on The Originals are the zingers, the burns, and the snark. They make you chuckle, wince with pain, or make you nod from the realness. There’s also those “moments of awwwwww” that hit ya in the feels for one reason or another.
Here’s the best ones of all of those from 4.03 “Haunter of Ruins.” Enjoy!
Elijah: * reading newspaper *
Kol: * snatches paper * You can catch up on the last five years when we’re on our way. I assure you, you haven’t missed much.(the look on Elijah’s face, though)
Vincent: You remember my wife, Eva, right?
Marcel: Eva, yeah, the child-stealing psycho?
Klaus: What terrible things did you tell her?
Hayley: I told her that you’re a hybrid, like me. I also told her that you’re very old. Other than that, she’s 7. We can wait to share the gory details.Hayley: You’re her fairy tale prince, Klaus, and now you’re real. You’ve got a lot to live up to.
Rebekah: Oh, here you are. Wherever there is booze and boobs.
Rebekah: Well, go and be alone somewhere else. I have some thinking to do and I would like to do it near the expensive wine.
Kol: After five years of being trapped in a house together. Here we are. Trapped. In a house. Together.Kol: Its not normal, living in each other’s pockets for a thousand years. Paranoia, betrayal, violence, repeat.
This one is a double-whammy. Snark, followed by awwwwwwwwww (for the Haylijah shippers, anyway!):
E: Let me guess, you want the world to disappear?
H: Not the whole world. You could stay. And Hope, too. Klaus can visit on the weekends, I guess.H: When I wasn’t with my daughter, all I thought about was you.
K: Although, your Uncle Kol snored . . . loudly, I might add.
And this one isn’t snark, its just too adorable not to mention!
Hope: Shhhhh. Don’t tell my mom.
Freya: She’s a Mikaelson. She can live without her innocence. She can’t live without her family.
Kol: Nice car. Hey, do you mind if I borrow it?
Rebekah, to Kol a little bit later: I knew you’d like this car, you’re so predictable.
You have to admit, with the length of time The Original Family has been together, they have the best jabs at each other. The best snark is Original Snark!
