Joseph Morgan made the rounds chatting with various new outlets recently. Check out what we have so far, and we will post more as they come in!

So, how will Mikael’s “return” affect Klaus’ ability to fight moving forward? “As we’ve seen before with Klaus’ encounters with him, he holds an emotional grip over Klaus,” Morgan tells TVGuide.com. “It makes Klaus feel like the child he was when Mikael beat him and his brother and chastised him. But Mikael will have to regain some sort of physical form to truly be a threat.”

While we’re talking family, what ever happened to that one member of Klaus’ wolf bloodline that we met? Well, Morgan doesn’t know, but Klaus’ wolf family is a story he’s dying to delve into next season. “That’s a huge untapped resource we have, and I would hope moving into season 2, that we’ll see more of his background, his wolf side. We saw one of his bloodline, and we found this ring that his mother made for his true biological father, so I think the idea of exploring that, certainly for me, is very interesting, because the Klaus we met was very much a vampire. We’ve seen more of the beast in him certainly over the last season, but definitely, we could explore more of that. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we discovered a pack that was descended from his bloodline, so there’s another family of which Klaus is a member, and then you have these two families, and he’s a member of both? I should be pitching this to Julie [Plec]. Season 2, I think we just figured it out!”

TVLINE | Elijah and Hayley finally kissed last week. I imagine Klaus won’t be thrilled.
I don’t think it’s going to go down too well. Klaus is very possessive over his siblings, and he wants to be the center of attention. That comes from his childhood, from being the outcast of his family. He tries to force his siblings’ affection and love, and someone else being the subject of that won’t sit well with him. Also, the fact that it’s Hayley and she’s carrying his child will be really difficult for him to get his head around. The truth is, they’d probably be better without Klaus. In a time of peace, when they could make a go of it as a family, Elijah would make a good father.

On Klaroline
Of course, we had to know about Caroline (Candice Accola)! We asked Morgan if there was any news on another crossover for him on The Vampire Diaries in the near future. Though he was a bit reluctant to go into detail, he did say he’s sticking to his words at The Originals’ TCA panel.
“There’s nothing I can say to you that I didn’t sum up already,” Morgan told us. “That was my wise answer to the whole Caroline question, so I really don’t have anymore to say about it, you know?”
Despite his short response, it’s still good news for Klaroline fans.
Here’s what Morgan had to say at the TCA panel: “We know there will be crossovers between the shows. We know that. We know the last thing he [Klaus] said to her [Caroline] was, “I intend to be your last love.” I don’t think they [the writers] dangle that carrot and not come through with anything. I know I’m going to be in every episode of The Originals. But we film half an hour away from The Vampire Diaries, so it’s still possible that they’ll use what little free time I have, drag me out to set in Decatur and film some of that.”
Morgan continued by saying, “And I believe it will come around again. There will be some sort of resolve or some sort of hope that something.”

JJJ: He’s become more and more protective of Hayley and this baby. Does that mean there’s a chance we’ll see Klaus put someone else ahead of himself?
JM: I think there’s a chance. He’s been slowly through the series emotionally coming to terms with the idea of being a father and becoming connected. Seeing Hayley more as party of the family more, I think, and valuing his child, certainly more than in the beginning when the news was brought to him. I think there’s potential for him to make some sort of heroic gesture. It feels more like an Elijah thing to do, but there’s potential I think.
