The Originals 2.09 “The Map of Moments” Recap {{SPOILERS}}

originals-recap-209

Been a while, hasn’t it?  Well, with the holiday break it seemed like a good idea to sit back and just enjoy the time with family. (read:  OVEREAT!) The Originals comes back this week, after a brief break, and so do I!  I hope your holiday tables were plentiful and the family . . . wasn’t anything like a get-together of the Mikaelsons!

The episode opens with Rebekah’s voice, and Klaus confronting Lenorsther, and then asking Koleb and Finncent to join him in the ending of her.  He’s happy with one or the other, doesn’t need both.  Then we’re reminded that Cami’s weirdness on her back was Lenorsther preparing her body for Rebekah to enter, since we all know Rebekah wants to be human above all else, and Lenorsther is intent on “saving” her family by removing them from their “vampire parasite” bodies and making them all a happy family of witches . . . in other people’s bodies. (Yeah, not creepy at all.) We see Rebekah carrying Baby Hope, fleeing the Starlings that Lenorsther sent to find her. Then, we’re reminded of Elijah’s little “break” when the waitress spilled coffee on him and Rebekah breaking his neck. Davina tells Koleb that the Silver Daggers of Sibling Rivalry Gone Wrong don’t work on Klaus, but Koleb has a plan to change all that. Then, Klaus does his determined walk past Hayley as they go to get Baby Hope.  (Oh, and that thing she wants to tell him? She’s gonna marry Jackson . . . in every way. Ouch goes my Haylijah heart.)

originals-recap-209-2

The episode begins in earnest back in Flashbackville – New Orleans, December 1914.  Must be near Christmas, as carolers are singing.  A house comes into view, one of Kol’s pet witches enters the gate behind Kol, and sticks a baby doll head on the pike. (Creepy.)  It seems that has put a spell on the house, by the jiggling of the picture. The other of Kol’s pet witches is already inside, and the three of them begin to search the house for that elusive, and HUGE, diamond.

originals-recap-209-3

Kol finds it, hiding in plain sight, as the stopper on a decanter of bourbon.  Kol does his victory smirk, tells the underlings to clean up, and heads down the steps of the house. . . only to find Klaus and Marcel on his heels. They banter about his clothing, and then get to the point. There’s been a rash of thievery, and the Mayor asked Klaus to look into it. Klaus put Marcel on the job . . . and Marcel was lead to Kol. They talk about the recently deceased Dowager Foley, and her gem collection, and then Klaus demands Kol hand over the “perfect paragon diamond.” Klaus inspects it, then nods to a witch who was standing nearby. She turns the doll head from facing the street to facing the house, while chanting a spell of her own. The doors of the house slam shut, locking Kol’s pet witches inside – they will never leave that house.  With a tip of his hat, Klaus wishes Kol a “Merry Christmas” and they all leave Kol fuming on the street.

originals-recap-209-4

As the title screen fades, we see Rebekah hanging a festive wreath on the front door of a house. Elijah is inside, and Rebekah offers him a drink. Mr Awesome Scruff is aware that he’s “being handled with kit gloves” and objects to it. Rebekah is concerned, given the state he left the people of the diner in. Elijah says he’s there to protect Rebekah and Hope, but Rebekah worries about what’s wrong with Elijah. Mr Awesome Scruff makes a very emotional vow to keep Hope safe.

originals-recap-209-5

And then we’re down in The Quarter. Koleb and Davina are chanting over a poppet (some people call them Voodoo Dolls), and magic and sexual tension abounds. They’re trying to protect Cami from Lenorsther’s efforts to put Rebekah in Cami. Marcel comes in, and plays all Big Bad Daddy on Koleb – threatens to put him in a coffin, like Finncent – and Koleb tells him that the spell needs to “cook” for a while. Marcel doesn’t think Cami has that much time. Koleb says what we’ve alllllll been thinking – how awkward would it be for Rebekah (ex-girlfriend of Marcel’s) to be inside Cami’s body (also an ex-girlfriend – or booty call – of Marcel’s) for Marcel. Cami arrives just in time to hear the end of that discussion, and calls it “awkward,” Marcel and Koleb go at it a little, but Cami calls Marcel off.  Koleb is no help to them dead. Marcel and Cami leave.

originals-recap-209-6

Davina doesn’t get why Koleb and Marcel are always butting heads. Koleb reminds Davina that, once, Klaus chose Marcel over him.  He says he feels like an outsider in his own family. He’s still jealous of Klaus’s relationship with Marcel. He talks about the diamond that he’s shown Davina, tells her that there’s a bigger one (Dowager Foley’s) and it would help them to have it.  But Klaus took it from him all those years ago. Davina suggests they steal it back, and there’s some cute flirty exchanges between them.

originals-recap-209-7

Then we’re in the woods. Mikael is tearing someone (a werewolf) to shreds. A Starling tweets nearby, and then Lenorsther is there. She says he’s making a mess of her werewolf protectors. Mikael confronts her about bringing Ansel back from the dead, and leaving him – her husband – on The Other Side. Mikael wants to kill his way through the pack to get to Ansel, to kill him as well. Lenorsther tells Mikael that Klaus already did the job for him. Lenorsther accuses Mikael of always using the “resolution through violence” technique and Mikael goes to attack her, and she’s gone. She’s back at her lair, chanting over beads. And then she’s back, appearing behind Mikael, saying that she wants to discuss their children.

originals-recap-209-8

Rebekah is collecting logs in the front yard of the house, with Hope and Mr Awesome Scruff nearby. Rebekah teases Elijah when Hope begins to fuss, that the baby won’t break, and he picks her up. (AND EVERYONE’S OVARIES EXPLODE!!  OMG the cuteness of Mr Awesome Scruff and Baby Hope!!!) Bonfire season is upon us, and Rebekah is “reviving a family tradition” since they will all be together. (And people wonder why Kol feels left out.) Elijah says that the only reason they are together is because they are fleeing one of their “deranged parents” and jokes that that’s a family tradition as well. Elijah wonders why their family is always at war, and Rebekah says that her time away with Hope has taught her that they aren’t so bad after all. She says she doesn’t think they are the monsters their parents think they are. (With Elijah acting the way he did at the diner, maybe just a little bit monstrous.)

originals-recap-209-9

Klaus and Hayley pull into the drive and Hayley runs from the car, and stops abruptly several feet away from Elijah and Baby Hope. Elijah is clearly happy to see her. Hayley approaches slowly, and the reunion is all the emotion you can imagine. She turns to Klaus, who takes Hope from her (AND EVERYONE’S OVARIES EXPLODE AGAIN!!! Klaus is adorable with Hope!!), and they look like a happy family the three of them. That sight isn’t lost on Elijah – its written on his face. Klaus and Hayley cuddle Hope.

originals-recap-209-10

Rebekah and Klaus are constructing the bonfire, talking about the big secret that Lenorsther revealed – Freya didn’t die from Plague, she was taken by their mother’s sister, Dahlia, as payment for Dahlia making Esther fertile – and the curse that was therefore put on all the Mikaelson first born children – and Elijah and Hayley join in the conversation. Elijah (notably rolling up his shirt sleeves to help with the bonfire) says that all of this is true, according to Finncent and Lenorsther. Rebekah says there’s no wonder that Finn hates them, he lost the sister he adored (Freya) and got a “judgy pack of siblings who find him unbearably dull.” Hayley wonders if Dahlia is any threat to them, Elijah says she must be long dead by now. “Like Esther,” comes Hayley’s response. DUN DUN DUN. Klaus says that there’s enough wood, or they’ll burn down the state of Arkansas, and Rebekah wants to do the family tradition of writing down their wishes for each other, to burn in the bonfire for luck. Klaus is resistant. Hayley is all for it. Rebekah reminds them that the wishes bit was Kol’s favorite part – Klaus uses this as another reason not to do it.

originals-recap-209-11

Marcel opens the gate to the compound, saying that Cami ditched him. Cami reminds him that her “fake therapist” is locked in that coffin and mumbles something about her “final hours.” (Sorry, she annoys me.) Marcel tells her to try not to think about it. Cami says that she’s worried she will cease to exist at any moment, and thinks that Finncent holds the key to stopping all this. She wants to talk to him. Marcel doesn’t agree. Cami grows a backbone and stands up to Marcel about trying to control her. They have a stare down in front of Finn’s coffin.

originals-recap-209-12

And then we are treated to the sweetest shot of Klaus playing with Baby Hope on his lap. *happy sigh* Hayley comes in with pen and paper and tells him to write down his wish. He puts it off, saying his busy with Hope. Hayley says “you write, I’ll hold” and Klaus objects to seemingly being the “husband you can boss around.” Hayley trumps him with the fact that she had horrible labor, and actually died to bring Hope into the world . . . and gets the baby from Klaus. (Hahaha. Klaus’s smirk is so cool.) Klaus pretends to write that he wishes she would tell Elijah that she’s marrying Jackson, and he’d then pour Elijah a Scotch “and congratulate him on the bullet he dodged.” He hands her the note, she snatches it and crumples it up and leaves the room with Hope.

originals-recap-209-13

Back at the compound, Cami has brought out the fine silver, setting up places at a table. Marcel is still objecting and insists on staying – not to control her, but to protect her – but Cami says that Finncent won’t talk if Marcel is around, and says that she doesn’t think he’d be up to picking a fight anyway. (Since he’s been buried alive, without the actual burying bit.) They drag a weak-looking Finncent from the coffin and Marcel leaves, saying he’ll be outside. Cami offers Finncent a grilled cheese sandwich, to which Finncent responds that her compassion will be her downfall. (Rude!) They jab at each other’s morality. He points out that she was sleeping with Marcel while “half in love” with Klaus, which hits a nerve. (Remember, before they found out who he really was, he was her therapist!) Finncent says that he doesn’t believe in redemption and that Klaus will never be redeemed. Finncent looms over a seated Cami (hands still shackled in the Witches Can’t Do Magic Shackles) and threatens every vampire in New Orleans, showing no mercy to anyone who stands with them. Not even her. Cami bolts from the room, and tells Marcel to lock Finncent back up.

originals-recap-209-14

Elijah is stacking wood into a carrier to take inside the house, and notices that his hands are dirty. Immediately, he flashes to his vision of Tatia running from him to a red door – only it isn’t Tatia, but Hayley. He see himself as a young boy, from his visions induced by Esther, and the boy stabbing him. Coming back to reality, he stares at his hands and tries to calm himself. Rebekah appears beside him, and hands him a handkerchief. While he wipes his hands, she asks what it is that he sees when he “goes away like that.” Elijah confesses that he sees things he did in the past, images of who he was, and calls it a “lovely gift from Mother.” He says that he can’t seem to shake it off, and that must be the way she’s trying to convince him to take her deal. He says her offer isn’t one to just leave his body (please, oh, please don’t make him leave his body!!) but its a chance to start over and live a mortal life – to have a child of his own, if he wants.

originals-recap-209-15

Rebekah reminds him that that baby too would be cursed by Dahlia. Elijah counters that it wouldn’t be, because it wouldn’t be Mikaelson blood in the baby’s veins. He admits that Esther’s plan, though dark, does have a logic to it that can’t be denied. Elijah wonders if all Esther would need to leave them alone would be a victory – having another of her children accept her offer – but Rebekah wants him to let their mother have a victory elsewhere. Elijah wonders if Esther would be happy enough with a “majority” of her children.

originals-recap-209-16

Back in The Quarter, Davina and Koleb are searching drawers, looking for the Paragon Diamond. Davina finds the picture of the Mikaelson siblings (plus Marcel, and minus Finn) standing on the stairs of the compound all those years ago. Davina asks if Koleb is in the picture as himself, and asks why he never talks about Rebekah. He says there’s not much to tell, except for this one time back in 1914 . . .

originals-recap-209-17

. . . and we’re in Flashbackville. Rebekah walks in to find Kol rifling through Klaus’s stuff. He says he’s trying to steal something back that Klaus stole from him. She says she’s going to go and tell Klaus, and Kol stops her. He asks her what would she do if he was working on a dagger that would work on Klaus, but she says that he wouldn’t dare use it. Kol reminds her that she’s the one that’s suffered the most from his daggering, and says that it wouldn’t be killing him, it would just let her have some time with Marcel. Kol asks if Rebekah would be interested in getting out from under Klaus’s shadow, she says to count her in. She tells him, too, to put on one of Klaus’s jackets because Klaus will notice he’s late.

originals-recap-209-18

Back in the present, Klaus is lighting the bonfire, and Rebekah comes out of the house with a Polaroid camera. “Oh, bloody Hell” is Klaus’s response as she thrusts the thing upon him. She wants him to take a “selfie” of all of them – and Elijah jokes that Klaus enjoys cramming his siblings into confined spaces. (Hahaha.) They take a picture, and we watch it develop. Rebekah says that she wishes it could always be like this. “If wishes were horses,” Elijah says. “Beggers would ride,” Klaus finishes. Klaus tells them that they will have to burn the picture, his wish is that things didn’t have to be this way, but they do, to keep Hope safe. Hayley takes the picture from him, and tosses it into the bonfire. Rebekah says they have earned this and she’s not going to let it slip away. With tears in her eyes, Rebekah says she knows how to stop Esther. Elijah objects. She says that she’ll take Esther up on her deal, but she’s taking Esther down with her when she does. Klaus nods, slightly.

originals-recap-209-19

Hayley and Baby Hope are sitting on the porch, enjoying some Mommy and Me time. Rebekah and Klaus are discussing Rebekah’s plan. Rebekah insists that it’ll work, Klaus is concerned she’ll just jump into to someone else. Rebekah tells him to stop her from jumping. Klaus snaps that if he knew how to do that, he would have murdered Esther once-and-for-all already. Rebekah reminds him that he’s got Davina and Koleb on his side, maybe they can sort out something. Elijah objects, calling them both insane. (DUH!) Rebekah insists that if they get this right, it’ll be a win – and death – for Esther. Elijah counters that if it goes wrong, Rebekah won’t be in her own body anymore. Rebekah asks if that’s really the worst thing and reminds Elijah that this was his idea in the first place. Elijah reminds her that she “sagely” talked him out of it.

originals-recap-209-20

Klaus asks if Rebekah is really willing to lose. She says she’s willing to risk losing. (And everyone in the room knows that Rebekah has always wanted to be human again.  But, in her own body.  One out of two ain’t bad, right?) Klaus says they need to find someone for Rebekah to jump into, someone that can easily disappear with Hope. Rebekah tells the boys that when she’s “old and wrinkly” they can put her back in her own body because Klaus “already has a coffin he can store me in.” Elijah is concerned about trusting Kol. (Who wouldn’t be?) Rebekah says that it isn’t about trust, it’s about “finding the proper leverage.” Klaus agrees that Kol always does what’s best for Kol so they have to “meet his price” and pulls out his phone to call Koleb.

originals-recap-209-21

Koleb says he’d be happy to help. (WHAT IS THE CATCH?) Marcel asks the question, says he knows Koleb has been sneaking around the compound looking for something. Koleb says that if they want him to find a body for Rebekah, he wants the Foley Diamond that Marcel and Klaus stole from him back in 1914. Marcel wants to know what he’s going to do with the Diamond once he’s got it. Koleb tries to dodge the question, but Marcel persists. Koleb decides to be honest. He’s going to use it to make a weapon to protect himself against Klaus. Koleb says it isn’t a weapon to kill him, and will only be used in self-defense, so it seems to be a fair trade. He hopes too, that if all this works out, Marcel will let him near Davina “without bodily harm.” (Marcel doesn’t seem to sure about that last part.)

originals-recap-209-22

Klaus and Rebekah are debating the merits of giving Koleb the Diamond, while Klaus is driving back to NOLA. Rebekah thinks the idea is a bad one. (DUH) Klaus says Kol has been plotting against him for ages, and hasn’t gotten it right yet, so he’s not worried. He asks if Rebekah knows what she is to do. She says she does. She asks him to take care of her real body, if things don’t go to plan. He says that he will, and he’ll be there to pull her out if things start to go wrong. “You and me on the same team. It must be Christmas,” Rebekah says with a smile.

originals-recap-209-23

Hayley walks into the room, where Elijah sits by the fire, rolling up his shirt sleeves. She says that Hope is asleep, and that the house is very quiet without Rebekah and Klaus there. (HELLO TENSION!!) Hayley says that she didn’t get to tell him her wish at the bonfire. She says that it is really more of a hope, because she hopes that he’ll understand what she has to tell him. Mr Awesome Scruff looks concerned. Hayley tells him that she thinks she’s found a way to release her wolves from the witches and their Moonlight Rings. She tells him that it would make them be able to control their turning, so that NOLA could be safe for Hope to come back with them. (She hasn’t gotten to the bombshell yet, dancing all around it.) “But there’s a catch,” she says (oooohhhhh, it’s coming!) “I have to marry Jackson.” The look on Elijah’s face is equal parts shock and heartbreak. (And my Haylijah heart breaks with him.) She starts to stammer about mystic ceremonies and bonding, and Elijah turns away. She tells him that she’s only doing this for the wolves, the two of them haven’t been close lately, and she doesn’t love Jackson.

originals-recap-209-24

Hayley starts to leave, and Elijah pulls her back and attacks her with a passionate kiss. Elijah tells her to “marry him” and tells her that he knows she’s doing it for Hope. His wish for her is that everything turns out right, so that Hope can come home. Looking stoic, he pulls away as Hayley touches his scruff. This time Hayley kisses him, and the slamming against walls and undressing begins. (YES!!!!!)

originals-recap-209-25

Koleb comes into the compound, he’s found a body for Rebekah. Angelica Barker. Davina asks who that is. Apparently, Angelica was one of Marcel’s vampire “hopefuls” but he turned her down because she was “too lost.” Cami asks if she knows what’s going to happen to her. Koleb says its better that she doesn’t. Marcel reminds them that Angelica might not even be needed, so they shouldn’t worry about that. Koleb says he needs one more thing. His mother’s hourglass. Which is in her lair. Koleb says he’s about due to give Lenorsther a visit, but he needs to return to her with the thing he was supposed to retrieve for her – The White Oak Stake. Marcel and Davina are resistant. Marcel even calls off the deal. Klaus barges in, and reminds Koleb that they are doing this for the good of their family. Klaus asks for Koleb’s word that he’s going to do what he says. Koleb does. He swears “on the Fate of us all.” “I’ll get the Stake,” says Klaus.

originals-recap-209-26

Koleb is back with Lenorsther and he’s handed over the Stake of Doom to Mommy Dearest. Lenorsther says she was concerned when she hadn’t heard from Koleb in a while. He asks after Finn (knowing very damned well where he is) and Lenorsther believes he’s been caught by Elijah and Klaus. While they are talking, Koleb is fiddling with Momma’s hourglass. Lenorsther says she’s still looking for Rebekah, and guess who appears behind her – Rebekah. Rebekah greets Kol and Esther, and asks about the “deal” Esther is offering.

originals-recap-209-27

Davina spreads salt on a table top, saying to Cami that Koleb is linking her hourglass to Lenorsther’s – this one will mimick Mommy Dearest’s – Marcel says that when the last grain of sand falls Esther will try and put Rebekah into Cami. Davina’s plan is to deflect Esther’s magic back on her. Marcel says that Esther won’t be able to jump anyone anywhere. Cami worries about trusting Kol, but Marcel admits that Kol doesn’t give his word lightly.

originals-recap-209-28

Lenorsther is pouring tea for Rebekah, Rebekah suggests that wine is a better choice for such an occasion. Lenorsther says that Rebekah is the only child she has that is capable of “unfettered joy” amongst humans. She knows how Rebekah has longed to be human. Koleb asks when she thinks he’s most happy, and she tells him it is when he is doing as he’s told and hands him the tea tray to put away. While Lenorsther’s back is turned, Rebekah seems to be doing something behind her. Lenorsther gives her sales pitch one more time, and when Rebekah says she’s in, Lenorsther tips over her hourglass and toasts with Rebekah. When Lenorsther turns to Rebekah, Kol spells the hourglass and Davina’s starts as well.

originals-recap-209-29

Outside now, Lenorsther brings out the White Oak Stake and places it on the altar. Rebekah is horrified. Apparently, Lenorsther will not be preserving her children’s vampire bodies after they jump, she plans to destroy them. Koleb says that Lenorsther said she was only using the Stake to “protect” them as they jump, but Lenorsther wants to “right two wrongs” tonight, and destroy the vampire bodies she created while also freeing her children. Rebekah says that wasn’t the deal, stop the spell. Lenorsther says the spell is already done, it was locked in the moment she turned over the hourglass. (UH OH) Rebekah looks desperate and scared.

We see sand sliding through Davina’s hourglass and Cami, Marcel, and Davina watching it nervously. Marcel wants Davina to start the spell now, but Davina says no.

originals-recap-209-30

Rebekah begs Lenorsther to save her body, but Lenorsther isn’t having it. She says that Rebekah’s soul will live on in another body, the flesh doesn’t matter. Lenorsther tells Rebekah that she’s chosen someone beautiful and strong for Rebekah, and then Klaus’s voice rings out loudly, “MOTHER!” He demands she stop the spell, and calls Koleb “traitorous,” but Koleb insists he didn’t know. Lenorsther realizes that Klaus and Kol have plotted against her, and Klaus demands again that she stop the spell. Lenorsther says it isn’t possible. Klaus says “anything is possible” and offers himself instead of Rebeakah. Rebekah objects. Lenorsther tells Klaus he should have accepted her offer when it was hers to give, she’s made a deal with Mikael. (DUN DUN DUN) She says that when Finn and Kol were gone so long, she needed a new ally, and all that Mikael wanted in return was to kill Klaus. Lenorsther says she was going to ask Koleb to return the Stake to Mikael, but she doesn’t trust him anymore. Klaus yells again that Lenorsther stop the spell, but Rebekah assures him that she can do this. Lenorsther says that she’s already chosen another body (not Cami’s) and Koleb screams “NOW!” and Klaus plunges a knife into Lenorsther’s neck. Koleb and Klaus share a look, the last of the sand falls to the bottom of the hourglass . . .

. . . and Davina starts her spell. Cami starts jerking about, Rebekah falls (Klaus catches her), and both hourglasses explode. Marcel turns to Davina, “Did it work?” “I have no idea,” she responds.

originals-recap-209-31

Davina looks concerned, while straightening an unconscious Cami’s hair. Klaus brings in an unconscious Rebekah. Marcel finds Finncent’s coffin lock broken off, and the coffin empty. Marcel says as soon as Cami’s awake, she needs to get out of the Quarter, someone’s busted Finn out. Klaus tells him that Lenorsther is working with Mikael. Cami gasps awake and Klaus says “Camille?” Cami jokes that she suddenly “loves that stupid name” – she’s still herself. Everyone seems relieved. But Rebekah isn’t waking. Klaus admits that he couldn’t stop the spell and turns to leave. Marcel yells after him that he hopes, at least, that Klaus managed to kill Esther. Klaus admits that he and Rebekah had a plan, too, and Esther is “exactly where she needs to be.”

Koleb and Davina are talking. She asks why he’s so happy. Apparently, his story from earlier about Rebekah not telling on him wasn’t exactly true.

originals-recap-209-32

Flashbackville:  Rebekah walks up to a pretty blonde, and says that a witch like her shouldn’t be dating Kol. The witch says that it isn’t really a date, but Rebekah ignores this, and tells her that she can do better. Kol, Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah and Marcel arrange themselves on the stair for the picture . . . but the witch tips her glass to Kol – and he returns the gesture – just before the flash goes off. Klaus brings the room to attention, and tells them that when the Mikaelson’s came to NOLA, they brought with them the tradition of bonfire season. He invites all present to join him in writing wishes for each other, and burning them for luck. He makes a snide remark about treachery that makes Kol think perhaps Rebekah hadn’t kept their little secret after all. Klaus makes a toast to Rebekah, and Kol starts to sneak away. Elijah whooshes past him, and stops him in his tracks, while Klaus comes up behind. Elijah pulls Kol’s jacket back, and Klaus daggers Kol in front of the entire party.

originals-recap-209-33

Back in the present, Koleb tells Davina that he’s been holding that grudge (really? A Mikaelson holding a grudge? You must be kidding?!) for a century, and tonight he got his revenge. Koleb tells Davina not to worry, Rebekah’s fine, she’s just not exactly in Angela Barker’s body, either. Davina asks who he prepped for Rebekah. Koleb tells her about Klaus having his witch friends trapped for an eternity in the house where they stole the Diamond. Apparently, the Dowager Foley’s house has become “quite a catch-all for an assortment of odd birds of the witchy variety” and that he trapped Rebekah there. Davina is not very happy about this information. He says that Rebekah being missing will keep Klaus occupied so that they can finish their plan to make the Daggers effect Klaus, and hands her the Paragon Diamond. Davina makes Koleb swear that Rebekah is safe – he does – and Davina’s righteous objection fades away. Koleb says he’s made a wish for her, and asks her to close her eyes, and then he kisses her. Davina pulls away, and then kisses him back.

originals-recap-209-34

Lenorsther is laying on the floor, coming to. Klaus tosses something toward her, and greets her. She starts to sit up and we see that what he tossed her was . . . A BLOOD BAG!! Lenorsther asks what he’s done and he replies that he’s been a good son and followed the example his parents gave him of how to treat them. She’s twitchy, and he tells her that she’s in transition. Lenorsther is horrified. Klaus tells her that she may have thought she was one step ahead of them, but Rebekah was two steps ahead of her. And we see just what Rebekah was doing, when Koleb got Lenorsther to turn toward him after Lenorsther had poured the wine before the spell. Rebekah bit her finger and let a few blood drops fall into Lenorsther’s glass!!! Lenorsther died with vampire blood in her system. And Klaus reminds her that you cannot be both vampire and witch, so she needs to make a decision “to be the thing you hate the most, or you can be dead. Your choice. Which is more than you ever gave us,” and he leaves her with the blood bag. Lenorsther begins to cry as she reaches for the blood bag. (But just where is Rebekah?)

originals-recap-209-35

Rebekah’s body lies in her coffin, Koleb and Klaus stand over her. Koleb returns the Stake, as promised.

originals-recap-209-36

A girl gasps awake from her bed and sees her reflection in the mirror. Something screams in the background and she looks around. More strange noises come from around her, and she runs down the stairs to the front door. Which will not open. “Kol, damn it,” she says, “I’m not meant to be here. I’M REBEKAH MIKAELSON!!”

originals-recap-209-37

She repeats this a few times, and then we see the outside of the house where she’s trapped. Yep. You guessed it. Dowager Foley’s house.

Rebekah is in a witch’s body, in the locked forever (by Klaus, no less) house for we’ll say “disturbed” witches.

Oh boy.  Kol, you’ve been a bad, bad boy.

(Can’t wait to see how this unfolds . . . Monday night at 8/7c, an ALL NEW episode might give us some answers.  And, of course, more questions!)
