Last night on The Originals episode “Farewell to Storyville”, we saw Rebekah ride out of New Orleans in her pretty red sports car, a happy girl, finally free from Klaus. But what we didn’t know was a huge bombshell was about to be dropped. Buzzfeed first reported that Claire Holt is officially leaving the show as a series regular, shocking fans across the internet.
First thing we’d like to say…Claire Holt, you will be missed. We’ll never forget the first time we met Rebekah in season 3 of The Vampire Diaries in “The End of the Affair”. We fell in love with her instantly and you had us rooting for her from the very beginning, and then we were all relieved to know that you would be bringing Rebekah’s strength and sass to The Originals.
Although we are deeply saddened by her leaving, we would like to take this time to wish Claire the best of luck in future projects and we hope she decides to have Rebekah drop in from time to time…And I’ll leave you guys with one of our favorite Rebekah Mikaelson moments…
